Feeling pretty sorry for myself after lobbing it at Estoril and turning my pride and joy instantly into a track slag, I decided to buy something with 4 wheels. My current work hack is a JCW mini R56 which is good fun, but wanted something a little more 'raw'...
Alleged to have 135bhp (K series supersport kit), factory built 1998 model. I have been looking for a while now and I wanted BRG colour and the clam wings (classic look). I put the yellow stripe on it plus a few bits to personalise it, and it's currently in the tuning workshop as it's flat as a fart on the power. Low down it's fine, but high in the rev range it makes all the noises butdoesn't rip up the tarmac nowhere near as much as it should. I have sent it back to garage once already for them to sort but they're not specialist and it runs fine, just not as fast as it should. Anyway, it will also be fettled as I want to take it up to circa 180 bhp with some lively cams, Emerald ECU, exhaust and head work. Looking at seeing if I can fit a small supercharger or turbo also...watch this space.
